Our Values & Goals
Guiding principles rooted in Canadian medical standards, the CanMEDS framework, and a deep commitment to our community.
Our Values
These values guide every interaction, every decision, and every aspect of care at NY North Medical Clinic.
Patient-Centered, Continuous Care
We believe the physician-patient relationship is sacred. Dr. Soltani builds lasting partnerships with each patient and family, grounded in trust, empathy, and deep familiarity with your health story. We listen before we diagnose, and we stay with you through every chapter of your health.
Comprehensive, Whole-Family Medicine
From newborns to seniors, from preventive check-ups to managing complex chronic conditions, we provide complete medical care for your entire family under one roof. Dr. Soltani’s training in obstetrics and gynecology gives her particular depth in women’s health, prenatal care, and reproductive medicine.
Accessible and Inclusive Care
Healthcare should be available to everyone, without barriers. We offer same-day walk-in appointments, virtual care, and service in both English and Farsi. Our clinic is transit-accessible, elevator-accessible, and committed to creating a welcoming environment where every patient is treated with dignity.
Evidence-Based, Quality-Driven Medicine
Every recommendation we make is grounded in the latest clinical evidence and Canadian medical guidelines. We participate in continuing medical education, apply Ontario Health quality standards, and continuously improve our practice to ensure you receive the most effective, up-to-date care available.
Community Partnership
NY North is rooted in the North York community. We understand the health needs of our diverse neighbourhood and adapt our services accordingly. We coordinate with specialists, hospitals, and community resources to ensure seamless transitions and connected care — because your health extends beyond our clinic walls.
Our Goals
Measurable commitments aligned with Ontario Health quality standards and the Excellent Care for All Act.
Timely Access to Care
We are committed to offering timely access to both scheduled appointments and same-day walk-in care, reducing unnecessary wait times and ensuring no patient is turned away when they need us.
Comprehensive Preventive Health
We proactively screen, educate, and counsel our patients to prevent illness before it starts. From childhood immunizations to chronic disease management, cancer screening to mental health check-ins, we take a whole-health approach.
Culturally Responsive, Inclusive Practice
We continually develop our cultural competency and work to eliminate barriers to care for patients of all backgrounds. We maintain language services, respect diverse health beliefs, and ensure our environment is accessible in compliance with the AODA.
Coordinated, Team-Based Care
We collaborate actively with specialists, allied health professionals, and community services to provide integrated care. When referrals are needed, we ensure timely communication and smooth transitions.
Continuous Quality Improvement
We measure our clinical outcomes, gather patient feedback, and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with Ontario Health standards. We hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of the CFPC, CPSO, and the Excellent Care for All Act.
