Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to accessible care for patients of all abilities.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Our Commitment

NY North Medical Clinic is committed to providing accessible care and services to all patients, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet our obligations under theAccessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and theOntario Human Rights Code, and to treat every patient with dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity.

2. Physical Accessibility

  • Suite 204: Second floor — elevator accessible
  • Free parking available in the building lot
  • Sheppard West Station (Line 1) — short walk east
  • Service animals and support persons are welcome throughout the clinic.

3. Communication Supports

We will communicate with you in ways that take your accessibility needs into account. On request we can:

  • Allow extra appointment time for questions or for a support person to attend.
  • Provide instructions and results verbally, in large print, or in simplified form.
  • Offer care in English or Farsi (Persian), spoken by Dr. Soltani.
  • Arrange a telephone visit where attending in person is a barrier.

4. Website Accessibility

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. It supports keyboard-only navigation, uses descriptive headings and link text, provides text alternatives for meaningful images, and marks up data tables with header cells and captions so screen readers can announce them correctly. Accessibility is reviewed when the site changes; if you encounter a barrier, please tell us so we can correct it.

5. Service Disruptions

If a facility or service that patients with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable (for example, an elevator outage), we will post notice at the clinic entrance and provide the expected duration and any alternative arrangements by telephone.

6. Feedback and Requests

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our care, our premises, and this website, and we will respond in the format you prefer. Accommodation requests are handled individually — you do not need to disclose a diagnosis to ask for one.
